Linux installation

Hi guys!

I installed Suse 9.1 a few days ago, and now I want to test Dominions2. Sadly, whenever I try to start the game it only shows me a black window, although I installed all sdl libraries properly (or at least I think i did).

My grafics card is a Geforce TI 4400 with 3D support enabled.
Any ideas what's wrong?

Re: Linux installation

Have you tried launching an other sdl app to figure out if your libsdl is correctly installed/configured.

Give a try to this one : Wesnoth

I can't get Wesnoth to work!

The screen just goes black!

I was able to play it a couple of months ago.

Have you tried running an OpenGL app too?

If that works try running with the '-wsdd' switch for windows, no sound and debug text. Then look what it says when it crashes or hangs.

Re: Linux installation

I installed it one more time, now as global with root privileges. It seems the local installation did not work right.

Thank you guys!
