The scoop on mind dual 2.14+
Anyone know it? I dont.
It was said in the patch notes that MD favored the little guy, and hence got changed. Anyone have any data as to what, and how, exactlyish? |
Re: The scoop on mind dual 2.14+
According to various posters (Nagot for example, and someone else whose name I have forgotten; apologises in advance), it means Magic Duel was not working according to its formula in 2.13,and possibly in other Versions. The less skilled mage won too often, or at least managed to get a draw.
If memory serves, the formula should be as follow: 1d6 (not open-ended)+Astral level for both Astral mages. The higher score wins, and the other Mage dies. When it is a draw, both Mages die. |
Re: The scoop on mind dual 2.14+
The odd were not exactly those statistically found by Saber Cherry due to a slight miscalculation.
You should find that while Mind Duel is still very much a factor, the attrition rate discrepency between 1-6 Astral levels isn't nearly as high in the higher difference brackets. So your Astral King will be harder to kill with those that don't get near his level. |
Re: The scoop on mind dual 2.14+
Johan or Kristoffer said that a base D6 was intended but they accidently put a D6 oe throw in it .
Now with 2.14 they removed the oe . |
Re: The scoop on mind dual 2.14+
I hope no-one minds me re-asking here, since the information is contradictory:
is it now 1. (astral + d6) vs (astral + d6) 2. (astral + d6oe) vs (astral + d6oe) 3. something else |
Re: The scoop on mind dual 2.14+
Astral+d6(closed) v Astral+d6(closed)
