Demo Question
 

Hey all. Quick question regarding the demo, which is really fun by the way, I am going to get the full when I can. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/cool.gif

Anyways, the demo campaign requires you to do the missions your Freeport Station Contact gives you. Well after accomplishing the "do 3 merc jobs and come back" mission ... I came back alright. I came back to a bunch of cargo crates (****ty ones too http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/mad.gif) and empty space. Freeport is wiped out and along with it my contact and the campaign.

I tried to go back and see if I can prevent it or get ahead of its destruction, but with no success. Weird. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...s/confused.gif. Now i can't complete the campaign...correct ? Lemme know. Thx.

Yep, you're stuck. No idea what vaped the space station; that isn't a mission or scripted event. Probably just got unlucky. The full Version fixes that issue (though with a hammer..)

About that time the station gets wacked by a pirate fleet of cruisers and destroyers. Doesn't help it that it doesn't regen shields or do repairs at all. Think of all the wasted mission opportunities. If the station survives the pirates attack, you have a mission to try and keep around a bit longer...I've not been able to do that yet..
