OT: Thunderbird...
Ack! I was just trying Thunderbird out to see if I liked it better then outlook and I set it up to check mail off our email server here at work and it worked perfectly, but it pulled all my emails from my inbox off the server and into Thunderbird. I poked around and found you had to set it so it didn't do this...Now is there a way to get those emails back on the server the way they originally were without forwarding a ton of emails to another account and then back to my email? I had almost 300 Messages in my inbox at the time so that would take forever...
Help is very much appreciated! |
Re: OT: Thunderbird...
You could ask your server admin to see if he can recover the deleted files, though that might not be particularly reliable.
In fact, the only sure-fire method would be to do exactly what you don't want to do. Why do you wanna keep everything on the server anyway? |
Re: OT: Thunderbird...
The server admin is me...:D So I would be able to get the stuff from the backup off Last nights tapes but that would be a hassle as well.
I want to keep everything on the server because sometimes I access the server from home or check email from the interenet and I cannot do that if my files are no longer there... |
Re: OT: Thunderbird...
I know in Outlook Express, you can highlight the Messages in question and drag them to the folder you want them moved to. I'd assume that Thunderbird would have a similar interface.
