The one difference is that you receive, and send, your turns through mails rather than by connecting to a server (at least on the player side).

Maybe Cunknown will open the next one up for more players. But first we need to kick the crap out of each other for thirty or fourty more turns!

This game is over, I believe. YellowCactus playing Tien Chi won. There will be an Invisible Swarm part deux, which may or may not be open to other players.
