Any National Heroes in Faerun?
 

Greetings all,

I have played around 150 turns total (three games) on the large Faerun map and have seen zero national heroes. The specific map is the large Faerun with special starting locations. Some settings which may be the reason: Order Three, Misfortune One, Common Random Events, Special Events Enabled, One Starting Location. Have had two Lore Masters and one group of flagellants arrive though.

Is it just my bad luck or do I have it set-up incorrectly to allow for the arrival of national heroes?

Baes is 3% chance to get heroes.
Each point up luck adds 1%, misfortune -1%. So its not impossible for you with a 2% chance, but as you see you might be unfortunate and get screwed and get one hero that is worthless or none at all.

5% chance you'ld be so unlucky, with misfortune 1, over 150 turns.

edit: more specifically, each turn you have a .98 chance of not getting a hero. after 150 turns the chance of not getting a hero is (.98)^150=.048296...

ie., around a 5% chance of being so unlucky.

Aikamun, you've just been supremely unlucky. In test games I've run, I've received national heroes for all nations. Sometimes things just work out that way. Much the same as the odds of having two starspawn priests get feebleminded by the Void Gate within the first 20 turns, it's just a bad run of luck.
