Optional Field

Its been a while since I have been able to play. Comp messed up..Lost my CD...had to order a new one etc...

I just reinstalled and downloaded V1.91 Patch....here is my question:

Can someone explain to me how the Optional Fields work? I'm particularly interested in the weapons targeting part..
