An Illwinter or Shrapnel PBEM host?

Hi all.
I think we would all agreet hat Moose has done an amazing job and I think probably single-handedly kept a lot of us dedicated to playing this game (and keen on sequels!)..

However, he's retiring somewhat and soon the venues for easily-organised matches will be going.

Eg. I'm currently running a small game on my PC and it is fiddly for players to send check for a new IP each day and to check what hours I am Online. Still, that is easier than PBEM (unless someone can sort out some PBEM bot software!)..

So, what would be the chance of Illwinter or Shrapnel setting up a Moose-style server? It really would be a fantastic asset to the community and to new players (as it is so simple to join).

There was also this thread on the Shrapnel general forum which might help when people want to organize PBEMs instead of relying on a server. The program Gandalf found looked pretty promising.
