Efficiency of Frost and Flaming Death dome?

Someone of you have ever seen someone killed by the effect of these 2 domes?
I've never seen no enemy spellcaster dead ( but instead is very funny to read the message when you're victim of the enemy dome and you're immune to that element ).

Maybe that due to people scouting before casting? Then it would at least force them to forge appropriate protection...
