Naive question about PBEM
 

I'm interested in finding a PBEM game of SEIV Gold to join, but for some reason I can't seem to find the Games Open/Players Available thread. Is this done on another site ? Other forums that I frequent have large, clearly marked sections for that kind of thing, and it seems to be very good for the vitality of those communities.

Just to clarify, I have no interest in PBW. I can commit to e-mail one turn every 36 hours and sometimes a bit better, but don't want to go on-line with a dozen other players for reasons of both safety and scheduling.

And yes, I am interested in role-playing.

Any suggestions for where to look would be appreciated.

I am not sure, but the PBW for SEIV is not really a real-time playing with other players all on the web at the same time kind of game. The PBW engine runs the turns every X number of hours based on the game. If you do not want to log onto the web site to upload your turn. You can email the turn into the server. The server runs the game and then emails you your turn file. You should check it out, it seems the kind of thing you are looking for. Most games run every 24 to 48 hours.

Yes, PBW is just a(n excellent) helper system for PBEM. You should be able to find what you are looking for there.
