Semi OT: My silliness, the forum, and links
 

Assume my knowledge of informatics is Non-Existant. How would I make a link to a thread, without linking to a particular post in said thread?

If I copy the URL given when I click on the thread, it simply goes to a post in this thread, and not to the first post (the first or the Last) in the list. Or am I missing something really obvious? *Glowers at the laughers in the back of the room* http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif

You eliminate the part after (and including) the #. For example,

<font class="small">Code:</font><hr /><pre>http://www.shrapnelcommunity.com/threads/showflat.php?Cat=&amp;Number=311762#Post311802</pre><hr />
would become:

<font class="small">Code:</font><hr /><pre>http://www.shrapnelcommunity.com/threads/showflat.php?Cat=&amp;Number=311762</pre><hr />
