Losing Gift of Reason

I had Gift of Reason on a tarrasque and it lost it after a siege that I won. How does this happen?

it could happen, if the other side charmed/hellbind hearted/enslaved it, and then one of your mages enslaved it back.

I believe enslave was cast on it but I don't know if I enslaved it back.

monsters like that are prime targets of enslave mind, because they are huge and generally have only a middling MR. having it flip back over to you is funny though.
