Nice, I used that very same planet in a few of my art pictures. Nice to see it used here.

Heya. Think it looks good in general, but the death star thing over the planet looks rougher than the rest of it, for me. You've got a shaded, angled background, banner and ships that all look good together, and then the sphere just hangs there, front stage, full light, kinda dithery.

My 2 cents. Nice job!

For a first draft it looks like it's comming along very nicely. But to make sure you keep going in the right direction (towards excellence) I have two thing to place on your 2Do list..

1) Add shadow to the deathstar type starbase. Try to match the shadow angle on the planet.

2) Don't forget to add more ships, and when you think you're done, add a few mor just to make sure you win the battle. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif
