What's up with arcane nexus? It keeps giving me a message "The Arcane Nexus has absorbed magic power equal to 323 astral gems." But I'm not getting any extra gems of any type.

you should be getting 1/4 that number in astral gems, IIRC. Keep track of the precise number of astrals you have at the end of the turn, and see.

It works - having spent all my 999 astral gems on the spell, I wound up with about 230 back from the nexus the next turn.

I don't think astral pearls are absorbed at all (in fact it says so in the description, even http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...ies/tongue.gif)

Well, I certainly got nowhere near 323, but with all my clams I might have missed 81 pearls... but why would it only give one fourth of what it says? That seems kind of silly to not simply tell you what you get.

Yeah, it says something like "the equivalent of XXX astral gems was absorbed" - when I first was casting the spell, from the description I expected to get fire gems from fire spells, etc, but it all comes back in astral, and not nearly as much as is indicated.

Yeah, I expected to start geting gems of all kinds other than astral and blood, as the description leads you to believe. But then when it said it absorbed over 300 and i didnt get it, I was just like WTF?

heh.

as i recall, all non astral gems used in the previous turn are summed up, then converted to astral (at a two to one ratio), then you get half of them. I think that's it.

if you are unhappy w/ the huge astral income boost this gives, please just don't cast it http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...ies/tongue.gif
