Do the units that comes from events need upkeep ?
 

I'm quite sure that all summoned units don't cost any money to upkeep (is that true ?) ... what about units that come from events (like zelots, extra militias ...) ?

There are a few summoned units that cost upkeep (ex. trolls - quite a bit of gold too).

The zealots and militia definately cost upkeep. The 'lucky' militia are a common complaint here on the Boards due to the micromanagement necessary to take them to the front to get killed. Then the routed armies need to be rounded up and attack again.

Yeah Zen's SCQR .
Basically only those summons cost upkeep iirc :
- trolls/sea trolls + their kings
- black hawks
- some of the x-breeds

maenads cost no upkeep , but ryleh freespawns cost upkeep , probably exactly 2/3 gold upkeep .
