Gem Limit Cap?
Question: is there a cap on the number of gems you can have at any one time?
BTW, I just realized something. Because there is a hard limit to the size of your magic items inventory, and because in the end-game, your entire economy is gem-based, and expanding the size of your economy depends on making clams and fetishes, once you are capable of making like 50 clams per turn, the rate of expansion of your economy is effectively capped, so eventually if everyone survives long enough, then at the end, the rate of economy expansion by making hoard items will be the same for everyone. This also imposes an upper limit to the usefulness of Forge of the Ancients. Once you can make enough items to completely fill your magic item inventory every turn, the usefulness of Forge of the Ancients is maxed out. Just a thought. |
Re: Gem Limit Cap?
I don't think it cripples the usefullnes of FoA.
It still cost less gem to make items, this meansyou have mor gems for battle spell and rituals. And mostly FoA make even sage become great forger for all little things. |
Re: Gem Limit Cap?
Yes I ran into this cap in a multiplayer game a little while back. It's quite interesting. The limited vault space makes turning over your inventory every turn very important.
What FoA does is that it vastly decreases the time it takes on to get to the point where you are turning over your vault every turn. I think it took me something like 10 turns ( maybe 8, can't remember )to go from no clamming/contracts/fetishes to turning over my vault every turn. I then quit about 10 turns later. With about 1000 ( maybe I exagerate, but it was well over 500 ) fetishes the micromangement was crazy. |
