OT: Question Please Help
 

I am trying to remember the name of a movie, or tv series where there was a bomb, a round object, that when set off acted like a black hole and sucked up everything within a certain radius. I honestly cannot remember the show / movie that that was in.

I know it was not Stargate, B5, or any of the Star Trek series.

Any help is much appreciated.

It was one of the Chamelion series of movies staring Kari Wuhrer...Some kid genious girl and her father created it. He got killed by the bad guy...they try and hunt her down to get the device, and Kari's character 'Cami', who is a geneticly enhanced super soldier (animal and human genes) comes to the girls rescue...

So do I win a prize?

Sliders, Spiderman 2, a couple of Twilight Zone eps, a couple of Outer Limits eps... that theme has been done quite often.

No it was not spider man movies. It was a sci-fi movie or show. Not outer limits or twilite zone. Sliders maybe, but I only saw a few of those and don't think it was one of them.

Could be sliders.... would have to read the synapsis of the episodes to double check though but does not feel right.

I seem to racall it being used like a garnade. I vaguely recall it being used to get rid of documents inside of a research lab or something to that nature with a few people who had to escape. The Camelion series does not sound familar. Perhaps that crappy *** series of Bill Shatners, but again I doubt it. Seemed more recent and of higher budge than those old shows.

It sucked up everything in the room and when it was done, it was all that was left. Might have been in a movie, but what movie was it.... I hate not being able to remember these things.

Grrr, I know what you mean, but the answer is burried at the back of my brain..grrrr. Now I'll slowly go crazy until I figure this out.

Quantum Leap? I don't think so, I'm leaning towards a movie, probably a 'Made for TV' movie of the week or something like that. Wait,.. was that on an episode of Mutant X? hmmm that's ringing some bells..

I'll have to give it some more thought..

I think I got it,.. A show called "The First Wave" or something like that. This guy follows/interprets the prophecies of Nostradamus and is trying to thwat the invasion of alien beings that have allready begun invading out planet. I think on one episode there is a device exactly like that and the guy uses it to prevent the aliens from getting a list of fellow 'rebels' or some important info. I think the 'device' got used twice on the show, and the second time he not only saved the day, but got rid of a few aliens at the same time.

I'm not 100% sure but that's what poped into my head.

Grrrr, you got me thinking too much,.. Now I'm back to leaning towards Mutant-X again and another series came into mind where it might have been.. a show called 'Tracker' where the guy from Highlander (the TV Show) plays an alien who is 'tracking' fugitives on earth who have taken over the bodies of regular humans. When he catches them he sucks the 'life-force' out of them.. anyway it might have been on one of those shows,...

Dangit,.. now another show with possibilities came to mind,.. "Earth Final Conflict"... grrrr...

I'll give it more thought, (like I have a choice now that this puzzle is in my head)

Aliens have setup a tera-forming industry. They use high-tech skin cover to look like humans. One weapon they use is a ball like device comes in different sizes. Flaps pop open, it starts spinning faster and faster until it sucks everything into the void. They used it to clean out a garage and destroy the base of a large radio dish antenna.
