modding-command-wish?

Does it makes sense to wish for a new modding command? (Seems odd that there are no more wishlists for Dom2-patches, but only for Dom3 around.)

I would like to see a mod-command that allows the altering of the experience level benefits! Something that allows me to mod the game to add +2HP at every level and not just +1HP at level 4.

(Also see my whining about experience in this thread. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif I like the concept of veteran units, which I am somewhat missing in Dom2.)

Re: modding-command-wish?

I don't know if it would be easier to just add new commands for these, but it crossed my mind they might be done using the existing stat commands for #experience...

#stat X would be +1 stat every X levels
#str 2 would be +2 strength every level

#stat -X would be +X hits every level.
#att -3 would be +3 hits every level

This way,

#experience
#hp -2
#att -2
#def 1
#str 2
#enc 3
#end

would mod every star to give 2 to att and hits, def to increase by 1 every level, str by 1 every 2 levels and enc to increase by 1 every 3 levels.

It would be much more user-friendly if #commands asking for numeric value would accept +X and -X, so that #hp +2 would increase unit's current hitpoints by two. But this is probably a wish for DomIII modding.

Re: modding-command-wish?

Actually, I posted a thread here about 10 posts down asking about mod commands in patches. Heh, I guess the topic was badly chosen, dunno.

Also, I was out of the dom2 scene for about 5 months (becoming a parent sure changes things...), but had previously posted a lot about new effects that experience can have on units --- see my wishlist posts.

(But maybe I just phrase everything poorly...)
