I can't speed up the construction of a remote mining space station by having two spaceyard ships in the sector, can I?

Nope, spaceyards don't cooperate. You can speed it up by using a retroseries though.

You can also use Emergency Building to speed up the construction of those bases, if your mobile space yards are used to build a single base. When the ETA is 1.6 year, switch on Emergency building and you will save five turns (the new delay will be 1.1 year, enough to use the eleven turns of Emergendy Building). Throw in some retrofitting, and voilą! cheap(er) remote-mining Starbases.

If you do not want to use many mobile spaceyards, you can build a fixed base space yard on the location for the future remote mining base. This should only take two turns, and will not make your mobile space yard nearly worthless for ten turns. I think it can also be faster in the long run, at least if you are thinking of doing a lot of remote-mining.
