Forum Questions
I've got a few questions regarding the forum.
1. What's a "Sticky Topic"? 2. What is "UBB" exactly, and what does it stand for? 3. What is an "Event Topic"? |
Re: Forum Questions
the topics in a forum will "roll downward" if they get no action. A sticky topic is one that is pinned at the top for thinks like important links, or newbie help files. Maybe not getting as much actions as some conversation threads but still important.
UBB is Ulimate Bulletin Board which is the software package which does the web forum. Reference to things like UBB code is basically saying "not standard, something we came up with" Event Topic? I think that referes to one with a calendar date involved -- take note that this is no longer an "official response" |
Re: Forum Questions

Re: Forum Questions
Btw, how does a topic become sticky?
|
Re: Forum Questions
If one of the mods feels it is important enough they can make it a sticky.

Re: Forum Questions
I understand it involves duct tape, two stapplers and a peanut butter and banana milkshake. I havn't quite figured out what the stapplers are for.
|
Re: Forum Questions
Actually the duct tape is unnecessary. From what I understand, a melted Three Musketeers bar is enough to create "sticky".

Re: Forum Questions
True, but then the muskrats start swarming and next thing you know, you've gotten a stiff leter of protest from the sub action committee on the committee for action, part of the committee on action, reporting to the activities committee, responcible to the fifth secretary on activities.
And at thirty thousand pages at a velocity of .5c, that can really mess up your day. |
Re: Forum Questions
Yea forgot the sub action committee.
Okay don't use a Three Musketeers. Soggy Skittles work just as well, and are less nutritious. Apparently, muskrats prefer Reese's Pieces over Skittles, so you're safe. Or you can use the blood of the sub action committee. A ballpeen hammer should do. |
