I just came across the information for Salvo. It looks very promising. I will be ordering mine in the next few days. I'm still hoping for a game that will permit the coordination of land and sea battles from this period.

Just wanted to say I just put down my pre-order, and thanks for supporting us Mac users.
We usually tend to get a fair selection of games from all the catagories, but very slim pickings when it comes to wargames.
I can't wait to play, the game looks fabulous!

I have to admit, lately I am especially enamoured with naval combat in the age of sail era. Been devouring the Aubrey-Maturin book series http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...ies/tongue.gif
So it was great when I saw the news this game was being ported.

Glad to hear it – I knew the Mac support was a good idea, so when Shrapnel said go for it – I did. Things are shaping up and I believe that Salvo is over the hump - if you will. So – the Mac and PC demos should be out soon – with the gold and shipping announcements close on the heels of the demo.
