Map Fun!
 

Ok, here is a map that I have had lots of fun games on. Best done with a rock, no atmosphere race. It is a small spiral with no warp connect. Its from way back in Version 1.11 and has a few planets next to black holes and within nebula. Great fun with max races (havn't tried multi.). I heard that someone is making a map with sphere/ring worlds on it, anyone have a copy?? would love to play where you can find and colonize one, or find the AI with one in it's grasp. http://www.shrapnelgames.com/ubb/images/icons/icon7.gif

Here's one Deathstalker.

This is the map from Drake's twingalaxies tournament entry. Hope you don't mind me posting it Drake.

It's a small quadrant with 39 systems and 40+ ringworlds, no balck holes or nebulae to slow the ai down. Also most of the planets are fully maxed out on resource value at 250% for all three.

Also all the ringworlds are gas giant carbon dioxide since that was Drakes race of choice. That may slow down the colonization of them.

Ought to be quite a game with lots of ai and few neutrals. I'd say it might be hard to beat.

I am not sure if you can make the game start races on ringworlds though. I tried with this map and it didn't work.
