need help
 

trying to install Star Trek Mod . Have space empires and patch 1.91 installed and image mod , everything works ok. Installed tdm-modpack , changed path.txt to "tdm-modpack" added star trek mod and 190.9 patch . Go into tdm, black screen comes up listing , '"none ', 'star trek mod ', and "tdm' , hi-lite them one at a time , hit start nothing happens . What am I doing wrong ?

Set the path.txt to the folder name of the mod you want to play.

Then doubleclick the SE4.EXE, that's it. Start a new game, and away you go.

The TDM AIs are written for stock settings, and other than the new AIs, the TDM modfolder will only include extended strategies and formations IIRC.

You can copy the races into the STM's races folder, but be sure to remove the AI files from that copy or they will try to design stock ships in the ST mod, and that will cause havok.

What exactly is the problem?

You set the path.txt, then when you doubleclick on SE4.exe, what do you see?

after I click on se4.exe , black screen comes up with " none, space empires iv, space empires gold and star trek mod " , I then hit 'start" and nothing happens . I can get into space empires iv gold 1.91 and has image mod included thru icon on main screen

Where do you have the mods placed at?

Mods should go into your space empires iv folder.
The PATH TEXT should read:
Using Mod Directory := Star Trek Mod

Or the name of the mod you want to play

If your using the mod launcher then it should read:
Using Mod Directory := None
