OT Computer Question (new)
 

Can any one tell me what in the hell the tech guy from OneWebhosting.com meant by this:

"You can *only* remove processed logs. Your log files are not processed yet."

My problem is that my error_log is nearly 100megs in size and I have been after them to help me purge it.

I asked them to help me purge it and the above response is what I got. (Angry I am.)

I look at the log rotation but cannot change anything relating to the error-logs. I cannot select it, modify it, or even view it. (I can try to view it but it kills the browser each time.) (So hugely massive.)

You could try writing a little program to overwrite it with " ".

Not sure how to go about that if you're getting 'Progam is being used' errors.

And truthfully my brain is tired anyway.

Processed logs? What the hell? What FTP client are you using? Figure out how to check the file permissions on the log file. Set the permissions/attributes so that the "owner" has read and write permissions, then delete the log. A quick way to do this is to set the permissions to 644...
