Help me!
 

Okay now that I'm making shipsets I need your help with something, how do I make the shields and "main" strips in the shipset? For my Icarans it was easy because I just used the shields that I LOVED from another shipset and recolored the main of another.
Oh I also need to know how to make an explosion strip.


But now I need to know how to make them myself please tell me how to do that?

Star, I'll call you tommorrow night and tell you how I did it using DoGA. If someone else has any good suggestions though, I would be up for them as my method is a tad bit time consuming.

Mains are easy.

This is what I do.

I first find a main that I like. I have a template that I use now. I then make two copies of my emblem, if I have rendered it or gotten it from other source. I resize one of the copies to 20x20 and the second copy to 10x10.

I open MS paint, ya the cheapy included MS paint, and then open my template or chosen Main.bmp image. I then zoom it to it 800% (or max).

I then open a second paint window (just open paint again) and open the first copied emblem, 20x20. I copy it and then paste it onto the main where the race marker goes. I do the same for the 10x10 emblem. At this point you can open the combat.bmp and copy what ever you want to use for topedoe's and paste them in. After that I choose a color and save.

Main Done.

For shields, I use pick one and recolorize it using ACDSEE 4.1. I really dislike later versions.
