How do i edit technology level advances numbers
 

I went to Data\Tech Area in Space Empires directory and lowered the 500,000 requirement for Ice Colonization to 200,000; saved it, and started game. No change.I want to lower all the technology numbers to speed up the game and speed up tech advances.
I want to play a game in 5 hours, having researched most things. Help is appreciated.

Have you installed the TDM ModPack? If your se4\path.txt says ModPack, then you need to edit the file: se4\ModPack\data\techarea.txt

Hope that does it for you.

By the way, another way to accomplish almost the same thing is to edit facilities.txt and adjust the research output of the Research Lab I (or II/III). This way you only have to edit one setting but get the same result.

Thanks raynor, i adjusted the research lab to 1500 from 500. Yeah, got the mod. Game goes faster now.
