Vampire Queen with 36 hit points?
 

In my current PBEM game, I see my opponent's Pretender has 36 hit points! When I click on the stat, it shows a base of 23 hp, -18 for enemy Dominion, and 36 current. How could this happen?

Really? I didn't know life drain lasted after a battle. Does it have a maximum? Is it permanent?

It goes away some each turn. I think the same is true from hp from high dominion - if you go to a lower dominion, the high hp diminishes.

There is a max for life drain as well, but I'm not sure of the exactly amount... 20% maybe?

The extra hp from life drain are just extra - the maximum hitpoints won't change, and the extra points will wear down in a few turns unless she finds new victims.

The hp from positive dominion goes down if you go to province with less dominion, and the bonus goes negative in negative dominion. However, the change comes about a turn later than the battle, so you can fly from +4 positive dominion to -3 negative dominion and get the bonus hits from +4. I don't remember if you have hp malus from -3 dominion or if your hp just starts to drop towards [max - malus from negative dominion], changing in few "steps".
