Arcane Nexus Works?

I�m playing a game as Rlyeh and spent a LOT of gems casting arcane nexus to get more gems. So message says: " Arcane Nexus absorbed magical power equal to 376 pearls "

But I have only 145!!!!!

Where the heck is the rest of them??????
I have been robbed!!!!
Is it bugged or what?

Sort of a bug. You see, the game does alchemy on the gems you get (to turn them into astral), so the reported number is not quite accurate.

It actually seems to give about a quarter of the gems stated. It's still pretty damn powerful, possibly the most powerful spell in the game (especially on a big map).
