Creating Stars
Can you create stars in a system that already has a star?
How many stars can you create in a system? Any restrictions? |
Re: Creating Stars
You cannot create a star in a system where there is already one star (or more) OR a ringworld/sphereworld. If there are no stars AND no ringworld/sphereworld in a system, you can create a star anywhere in the system.
If memory serves, you will also have to remove any blackhole/nebulae in the system before being able to create a star (I am not too sure about nebulas though). |
Re: Creating Stars
I was afraid you were going to say that:-( Thanks for the info.

Re: Creating Stars
Otherwise you'd have ppl placing stars on every quadrant of the map, with sphereworlds on em http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...ies/tongue.gif imagine that http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...ies/tongue.gif

Re: Creating Stars
It's theoretically possible to create an unlimited amount of planets in some mods. The process depends on there being a planet destroyer capable of destroying at least one variety of constructed worlds. Just build a stellar moon or whatever the destroyable built-around-star planet is, destroy it, make a somewhat smaller planet out of the asteroid field, and repeat.

Re: Creating Stars
Yes, and Crystal empires would rule because they could make almost unlimited resources using Solar Generators and dozens of stars per system.
