Mindi\'s mother passed away. Condolences in order.
 

I just received two emails; one saying I've been accepted into the Falklands War beta test, and another one apologizing for the fact that the previous message had been sent to all beta testing groups, but I'm not part of ANY testing group. Has anyone else received these two emails while not being in a testing group?

It has indeed been a mistake: the two mails appear to have gone to all users, and not only users part of a testing group.

Now, I hope that not *all* users have replied to these two mails, or Annette will find herself drowning among one thousand mails or so.

Yes, major goof on my part. Initially I thought (hoped) it had only gone to the beta tester groups, but it appears to have gone to all registered users. Please accept my apology!

It's OK. Sh*t happens all the time. But you said "you missed Mindi"? What happened? Mindi quit or something?

Thanks for understanding, guys! It means alot to me. So far the fallout hasn't been nearly as bad as it could have been.

I'm sad to say that Mindi's mother passed away unexpectedly on Thursday. She and Richard are going through a very difficult time and are understandably taking some time off. Please keep them in your prayers.

My sincere condolences. I'm not religious myself, but if I was I'd keep them in my prayers, as you said.

I heard about the Falklands thing, I hope everyone wasn't too hard on Annette! I think she did a very good job, especially since I was totally out of contact for almost a week. Thank you to everyone who has expressed their thoughts and prayers to Richard and I while we've been going through this traumatic time.
