question about games setup and AI_general file
 
How do "computer player bonus" and "computer player difficulty" affect the computer players.

Also, in the _AI_general.txt files there are three "race opt" settings. What determines which of the three are used?

If you want to see what effect the settings have on th AI, you can create a computer player, and then take over from him for a turn.

the computer bonus gives the AI a multiple of their research, its like having the godlike trait for intelligence, for one.

The MM site has a Q&A section that discusses the different "AI Difficulty" levels pretty well. Playtesting by a number of the regulars here led to agreement that the "Bonus" settings lead to (IIRC) x2(Low), x3(Medium) and x5(High) production (all resources, plus research, plus intelligence) for the AIs.

The "race opt" settings are for the various (2000, 3000 and 5000?) racial point starts.
