Starfire Mod???
 

I know SEIV has alot of similarities to Starfire, but has anyone developed a Starfire Mod that has the focus on fighter/missile warfare (I know carrie battles mod - like this one) and other differences.

Thanks, what is the status on this project? I downloaded the beta off PBW, is there a newer version out there somewhere? Be cool to get a PBW of this going

As far as I know dead.

1) There was the fallouts during the political wars where a few self righteous egotistical dumb***es decided that their view was the only one and everyone else needed to conform or go screw themselves. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/mad.gif

2) Then there was the drop in help, most of the people that signed on to test for me had RL situations come up. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/frown.gif

3) Then the developers of 3rd Edition StarFire (which the mod is based from) had a falling out with the person who owns the license because he didn’t like the competition 3rd Edition was given his suck tail version of the StarFire game. So acting like the cry baby he has always been he pulls there permission. Once that happened I took it to mean that I could no longer work on this mod. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/evil.gif

4) Gran Turismo 4 was coming out and the owner of GTVault.com asked me to help with gathering information on the cars when the game hit the shelves. It did and so did I. Space Empires has always been fun but I am a race fan and there is simply no substitute for sitting down in my driving center with its Logitech Wheel and steering a BMW M3 around Nurburgring. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

Well I would be interested in obtaining any files/images/outlines/info etc...you have compiled for the mod...I will archive it for possible work at a later time, like for SEV...Between it, a possible Honorverse mod, and an SFB mod...I think I should have plenty to do when SEV comes out...since I don't think I will ever finish them for SEIV...

Well I am sorry to hear that. The beta mod I looked at, looked very interesting. Maybe Kana will be able to continue the work for SEV. I do not have time to do mods, besides I like playing better:-)
