Why doesn\'t rotating count as movement?

Why is that when a unit rotates no movement points are expended? Why is it possible to rotate at our wish without worrying about movement points?

This has always bugged me. After all, the position of a tank is crucial to the angle of impact. Being able to aim at a vehicle, destroy it, and then after expending all movement points rotate and face another vehicle frontaly, regardles of how far the tank has to rotate, creates a very unrealistic situation.

Rotation should count as movement, specially for opportunity fire, as it would simulate the time it takes a vehicle to face an enemy target and the possibilty of being fired upon during such maneuver, and the greater the rotating angle the more movement points should be expended, Specially if the vehicle doesn't have a turret.

Is this too hard to implement?

Since it was not built into the game from the start, basically yes. Too hard to implement, too many side effects etc.

Cheers
