Are old SPMBT 3 scenarios compatible with WinSPMBT
 

Title is pretty enough..I would like to play some user-made SPMBT 3 scens and campaigns, can I do that by just copying the files ? Is some conversion process necessary ?

Yes - you can convert them. We provide you with scenario , map and user campaign editors.

You will need to start completely from scratch, using the SP3 data as a reference, and also remember that SP3 has 250 meter hexes when redrawing your map, and that it is based on 1 unit=1 platoon, whereas we use 50 metres, and 1 unit = 1 unit. The OOBs will also differ considerably.

I was talking about scenarios for *your* SP:MBT DOS version, which was v3.01 IIRC, not about SP3 !! http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/eek.gif

I have already answered this one a few times on this forum.

Yes, but firstly load it into the editor and check units for any strange things, and edit to fix, if it proves necessary.

Well, fine then.. But it's in fact a full campaign with custom OB, I think I'll try to contact the author rather than porting it myself :p
