Mixed Squads, possible?

I'm new and have not tried this. At work now, so I just want to ask:

Can you mix units so you have say 2 ranks of hoplites in the front rank and 2 ranks of say militia in the back of a squad?

I think I've seen when I did put different units into the same squad you could not control were they ended up.

But it would be great to be able to put a couple of ranks of spearmen in front of several ranks of archers for protection, etc.

If not possible in Dom2, then nice to add to Dom3.

I don't think you can specify.

The squad also will not move as one unit - faster units will outpace the slower ones. This can be good or bad.

Well I know I could have a small squad of spearmen hold in front of a large squad of archers set to fire. As long as the archers are in range they will stay in back of the spearmen.

But it would be great to booster morale by having more ranks of troops without having to spend for your best infantry to fill all the ranks.
