Which Obat to use for Biafra?
Am thinking of doing a Nigerian-Biafrian meeting engagement. Any advice as to which Obat to use? Green using captured Nigerian equip, without the armour, comes to mind. However, they appeared to be be getting material from the french....

Nigeria plays Nigeria - as it was a civil war - would likely be best. Player 2 will get the "rebels" flag. Otherwise - Nigeria versus RED generates West African battles, and you mentioned using captured troops so presumably the Biafran is a human player (ot it is a scenario)?. Then just pick the sort of rifle sections you want and French kit from an appropriate OOB, or make your own RED modified OOB by adding the requisite kit etc. Cheers Andy |

Re: Which Obat to use for Biafra?
When doing Biafrans crank down the experience by about 8 and crank up the morale about ten. They were highly morivated barely trained troops.

Ta Troopie. Do you have any pointers for weaponry? I have found references to French, Italian, Spanish and Portuguese small arms, and one reference to their scant supply of 105mm artillery, as well as a field mod of a french APC ? The Cessna(?sp?) with rocket pods as well come to mind.

Tenth Codo mercs should be armed with FALs, Brens or MAGS, and RPG-2s or M-20 bazookas. As you can see, one of the major problems with the Biafran military was the suicide rate among quartermaster sergeants. troopie |

Re: Which Obat to use for Biafra?
I was wrong about the ME-109. Here's the roster from world airforces.com
They had two Vautour IIBs. These were destroyed on the ground at Uli and never saw action. The UH1 is not mentioned, but my friend and Gen. Madiebo said Biafra had one. deH.(Riley) D.H.104 Dove {F} 67/ 2 *SP " D.H.114 Heron " 1 *S " D.H.115 Vampire 2 .
