A Question for the Modders

Does anyone out there know how to set up a starting homeworld with different conditions than the racial traits of a given race? For example, starting off a race of oxygen breathers on a small rock planet without an atmosphere. The logic in this is to build in a severe starting restriction for a player, and to prompt the race into immediate expansion to have any hope of surviving. (Not to mention, it would tie in very nicely with a Space 1999 shipset I'm toying with.)

Re: A Question for the Modders

The game will create Homeplanets at the start of the game, and they are hard-coded to be what your race needs.

Re: A Question for the Modders

if you only want to do it once instead of moding it, you can just start a game with rock or ice dwellers, restart untill you are in a system with a colonizeable moon, colonize the moon and abandon your homeworld.
