Evading Aircraft
Some a/c will evade when a missile if fired at them, and others won't. Obviously this is due to missile warning systems etc, is there somewhere in the units OOB page that tells you which a/c have this ability and which don't?

Re: Evading Aircraft
It might have something to do with the Electronic Warfare rating that is given for that aircraft! What is the EW rating for the aircraft in question?

Re: Evading Aircraft
My opponent has F16s and I have Mig23 (or I had Mig23). Is that what determines evasive ability, the little EW in brackets?

Re: Evading Aircraft
SEAD element should evade better with the same aircraft according to manual

Re: Evading Aircraft
should!!!!!!!! It might also depend on what kind of fire control the sam or SPAA has. So the higher fire control say a FC of 100 might do good against a aircraft that has a EW of 1,2,3. I always look at it this way, if you kind of know what kind of AA force you are up against then pick your aircraft with weapons and EW rating accordingly, or use alot of SEAD, which I recommend highly, cause like one poster said they usually have high EW ratings, it also depends on vision too, if vision isn't good and fire control is not good, then smoke is great to have, but that is just an opinion!!!!! hope this helps!!!!!!!!!

Quote:
Once EW is diced for, there is a skill roll, based on whether the SAM is spotted, and the pilot skill rating, as to whether or not he evades the SAM, and that if successful (and which has nothing to do with EW, just that EW can reveal the firer and so make spotting the SAM easier) - will further pull down the to-hit % chance. Therefore - as a human defender - if you can move your SAMS between air strikes, so much the better (SP SAM is good!) as if they stand still while located then the following planes will find it easier to dodge the SAMS (plus arty etc will home in on them as well). Re: Evading Aircraft
So will SEAD elements get a higher skill role more often due to the fact that their job is sam locating and elimnation, and would there be a skill difference for pilots whether they be air force or navy or coin?
