Are startup modifications possible?
 
I would like to modify the type of facilities I get at startup. Is this possible? If so can anyone tell me the file.

Reasons: 1. Resource modification to give storage facilities at startup and do away with the empire bonus. 2. A separate mod where intelligence is available from startup and would like to have some intelligence facilities.

I tried modifying the default home world planet setup files but with no effect.

Reasons don't matter to the program. http://www.shrapnelgames.com/ubb/images/icons/icon7.gif It looks at what is in <race>_AI_Construction_Facilities.txt under the homeworld construction queue entries. Edit the default_ or the racename_ Version and you'll get what you ask for.

Baron,

I tried that. I modified the Default_AI_construction_facilities.txt file to increase the radioactive and organic facilities from 1 to 2. It doesn't work! The race I am playing is Terrain, and it doesn't have any special construction text file.

Does anyone have an answer? Actually, I do not think it is possible, so am adding it to the patch wish list
