Idea for the Game

Alot of new LAW style weapons use fancy AT-warheads, like the UK armies NLAW, or the French LAW (Can't remember it's name). I'm sure there will be others around soon.

Now these are represented in the game by using the ATGM class with the approapriate warhead. However this has one problem, you can't move and fire it like you can a normal LAW weapon. So I was thinking how about a Stabliser code of 222 (Like the AP/HEAT Code) which alows the fireing of ATGM's while moveing. This would then be similar to the Attack helicopter code.

I know this is unlikley, but it was just an idea.

Maybe a new weapon class would be much better idea...

There was the problem, someone dug it up as a wish for the new version (?), of the game being unable to model tandem HEAT warheads on non-ATGM weapons.

That drives out several existing weapons like RPG-7V, RPG-29, several Carl-Gustav rounds, and gun tandem rounds if these exist.

So I was thinking about a small and probably feasible recoding, that is creating another HEAT version with a corresponding reference code (say 223 instead of 222) which will give it the HEAT-tandem (anti-ERA) capability instead of AP.
That kind of thing would work for any weapon class and allow for all kinds of tandem-HEAT projectiles, including the kind of fire-on-move Listy is considering, with a high accuracy value (guided rocket like).

Of course it would need code work, so this is just a proposal! http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif
