Campaign wish

Why make hyphotetical campaigns, why not make one that is based on real events, like the Iran-Iraq wars, would be nice to play if someone would make...

Hmm, Ruissa in Chechnja should be interesting too. Chechens were even using tanks in the first war.

You probably don't see many historical ones because most don't have time to do extensive research. Then you end of having to constantly answer questions about your lack of historical accuracy. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...es/biggrin.gif

Thats why I personally try to design hypothetical or what if type scenarios/campaigns. I'd rather the player just have fun and enjoy the game.

To many disagreements on historica. Less aarguements on "what if" amd more on what happened.

Yes, I`d love to do historical stuff, but as has already being said, the amount of historical research involved can (i imagine) become a problem to do a really good job if working on your own.

Playing around with "what-ifs" allow the player, and the designer to explore all sorts of situations. The "fun" factor is a key issue. Not saying historical stiff is not fun, I hasten to add:)
