Demo not working

I installed LoL Demo on this PC which meets all requirements but trying to start the game results in an error message:
"Application has generated an exception that could not be handled. Process id=0x738 (1848), Thread id=0x4c8 (1224)."

Net Framework 1.1 is installed also.
The only thing I'm not sure if it is enough is the graphic card which is an ATI M3 (equals to ATI Rage Mobility 128).

Can you dxdiag.exe and send your report file to bugs@tinyhero.com?

Also, just to make sure, did you try rebooting after installing the game and getting that error? If the installer had to install Managed DirectX for you, then you might need a reboot before it works properly.

Rebooting does not help at all.

Email is sent.

Thanks for your mail, Seravajan. We'll look over it and see if there's anything we can do to help you out!

Honestly, our compatability isn't where we'd like it to be. We've seen this problem (or one very similar to it) on a very small percentage of machines, and we're still struggling to figure out what's happening.

We've tentatively decided to build our future games on the Popcap Framework (now open source), which will make our games smaller, faster, and run on far more computers. But for a variety of boring reasons, that wasn't an option for Land of Legends.

Re: Demo not working

I tested now the demo on a different computer and there it worked. After playing some games I do assume that while the game is good it still lack some stuff:
Map maker
2 to 4 units more per race. (I can only see 4 units per race)
Town upgrades: Each town should be able to build up to 2 upgrades out of a selection of 8 or so upgrades.
Town upgrades for units should only count for units being build in this town. This results in units having up to 2 upgrades they never can change.

Hey there,

We appreciate your feedback. The ability to making your own maps is something we're very seriously considering for a future patch.

The other suggestions are nice, but would turn Land of Legends into a different game altogether. While we're adding features like save games, keyboard shortcuts, and maybe even a custom map feature to make LOL even more fun to play, the core gameplay of LOL is locked down and will not change. But we stand by the fact it's pretty darn fun and plenty deep as it is! =)

I'll reconsider this game again as soon it contains a map editor.
Is this game only delivered by expensive snail mail?

We offer USPS Priority Mail shipping (usually delivered within two days) for free to the domestic US and Global Priority Mail for as little as $4.00 to most international destinations.

So negative http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/frown.gif
Having a map editor really wouldn't make the game better. Theres only so many ways you can make a map with 16x16(I think) tiles.

What is negative?
Many people telling here that a map editor would upgrade this game much. This is a nice game for lunch breaks.

Bigger mabs would be nice also but we will not see that in this game.

I'm curious, why LoL does not run on the PC I had intended for it.
