Question regarding changing planet pictures etc
 

Okay so I can replace the image you get when you click on it yet sphereworlds and warp points look like their same old selves when I replace their image in the pictures file. So where do I find the picture to replace to get the map image to change?

Theres a big file called planets.bmp I believe in the same folder as the other images

Planets.bmp contains the small version of all the sector-object images, while the large portraits are all in separate files.

You may want to edit the entries in secttypes.txt to use new numbers instead of overwriting the stock pictures.

The bmp files in the planet folder are two types. The planet.bmp contains all the small versions of the larger files which are the files as ex. 'p0001.bmp' files. p0001.bmp should be the first small picture located in the planets.bmp file and so on. As SJ suggested just change the number in the SectTypes.txt to use that picture. FYI: if you want to add some of the pics that are not currently used add them to the end of the SectTypes.txt file and it should not interfer with any games in progress as the new data will be loaded in after the current data. Rememeber to always BACKUP any files you alter in case you have current games saved that you'd like to finish. Everytime you change these .txt files it will effect all saved games that you have, as the game loads these file at startup!
