This game is played on a hand-edited map where the homeworlds and access to colony planets is more or less evenly spaced in terms of warp points, but there are also many almost-inaccessible systems and nearly-empty distant systems. Mostly players have been peaceful and tend to play fairly quick turns so far, so the game is on turn 225 and players seem to be racing for stellar manipulation technology to try to open up the frontier.
