Why do my fleets always head home?
 

Hmmmm.

I've been playing single player for a little while and there's one thing I just cannot understand. Every single turn all of my fleets try to head home.

Is this something from an Intelligence action? Why isn't there anything in the log then? Why does it still happen when I've got over 800k Intelligence points?

Frankly I like SEIV. The user interface is absolute garbage not worthy of further comment. The gameplay is ok. But this nonsense with the fleets having their orders changed constantly is really very irritating. If it is due to an Intelligence action by an enemy then I'd also like to know why it's not in the log at any point?

And I am not using any Ministers at all, at any level.

Bah, there is nothing wrong with the UI.

If you are not using minister it maybe some intel op. (order snafu?). Otherwise i've no idea.

Do you have the RESUPPLY minister activated? If you do he will send them home regularly.

That is totally the resupply minister, as Atrocities suggested.

1) Go to your empire status window (F11)
2) Click the "Ministers" Button
3) Click "Complete AI Off"

Seriously buddy the SEIV UI is one of the best I've ever encountered in any game so it's either the resupply minister or you have just forgotten to check the Intel ops properly.

In reality though, in all of the single player games I;ve played, I've never found the ministers to be usefull.

LOL I found them very useful my men liked tying them to poles and using them for marksmenship practice for my stormtroopers.
