Google Talk
I just discovered that google has a whole host of tools for those who would be interested in such things. http://www.google.com/intl/en/options/
Here is an alternative to MS Messinger http://www.google.com/talk/ |
Re: Google Talk
I recommend getting the Google Toolbar. It's free, it has a very good popup blocker and it's nice to have a google search ability always visible in your browser. I have turned off all the bells & whistles from the toolbar except those 2 features and I like it a lot.

Re: Google Talk
I have it already in my FireFox browser. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif I like this free photo editing software they have. Seems to be quite good for the price...free.
Add me to your google talk list folks.... |
Re: Google Talk
I have gmail access and can send invites if needed. Send me an email to inigmatus at gmail period com.

Re: Google Talk
I'd recommend using a better Jabber client and not falling for Google's hype on this one. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif Google is just using the already existent Jabber framework, so anyone with any Jabber client can chat with those on Google Talk.
Here is the list of Jabber-using clients: http://www.jabber.org/software/clients.shtml Psi is a nice one: http://psi.affinix.com/ Gaim also works. |
Re: Google Talk
but Google will rule the world someday.
|
Re: Google Talk
Google wishes it will rule the world but Microsoft isn't gonna give it up. Even though I like google more than Microsoft google isn't gonna win the war they've started.

Re: Google Talk
Google now has a $4 billion war chest and a business model that is driving Microsoft into its lethargic loss.in the information market.
Unless Microsoft is reorganized totally from the ground up, with a new unified vision, it will never be able to compete with Google because the foundation of Google's success has been its focus and simplicity. |
Re: Google Talk
I bet Microsoft is just quaking in their boot right now that Google is actually developing software. I will bet old Bill Gates has thrown many a tantrum over Googles future plans. I would not be a bit surprised if Google is Microsofts number one "get'em" target.
