Inigma:
The following is stated TWICE at the top of the FAQ thread: Quote:
http://www.shrapnelcommunity.com/thr...31&fpart=1 Today you spammed it again. Why do you keep doing this? Please do not post to the sticky FAQ thread. Thank you. edit: Lastly, shame on you for blatantly plagiarizing what I wrote with no credits. If it is in the FAQ, with *very* few exceptions where I couldn't find the author after extensive searching, I gave credit to the original posters. 99.9% of the unmarked stuff was written by me. |
Re: The first sections of the Newbie FAQ now on SEWiki
credit is in FAQ for SEIV 0.0
http://wiki.spaceempires.net/index.php/FAQ_for_SEIV_0.0 The sections I did set up, I believe, were credited as well, as I didn't modify anything in the corresponding Newbie FAQ sections. If you didn't credit them in those sections, that is probably why there is no credit at all, because the crediting section isn't even up yet. sorry to step on any toes. Perhaps you'd like to help us with crediting appropriate sections? That's the neat thing about this wiki. Credit can be given where credit is due, and anyone can update that. If you haven't noticed, it's not even near finished; that is why we are asking people to contribute what they can to it. |
Re: The first sections of the Newbie FAQ now on SEWiki
The link to the original Newbie FAQ is already provided on the front page, and in Section 0.0, but I've gone ahead and created a Original FAQ credit section in 0.0. I couldn't decide if it should fall under a 0.0.4 or something. That can be discussed in the FAQ for SEIV discussion link provided on the front page of the FAQ here:
http://wiki.spaceempires.net/index.p...k:FAQ_for_SEIV The thing with crediting authors of the original FAQ, is that, well, the FAQ for SEIV is expected to be overwritten countless times with updates and such - and even filled in where many blanks on Slick's FAQ still remain. The authors of the FAQ updates are noted in the history log, so even personally signing your changes isn't necessary as your changes are automatically credited to you in the log. The {{stub}} tag has been convienantly created to mark articles that need further expansion. Discussion tabs at the top of each article exists to host lengthly discussions about what goes in the article, easily replacing the "Update the FAQ" thread behemoth with something more user-friendly - and customized to each specific FAQ question. |
