Ratings and levels
 

Has something been changed in the ratings system, from what the manual says? The list at the end says 33XP should make me level 3 (almost 4), but when I log in, I appear as level 2.

I remember reading somewhere that races are no longer locked based on level (that seemed like a fun thing to aim for), but not about the levels changing.

You're correct -- the races are no longer locked by level, but the XP thresholds for levels shouldn't have changed.

(Maps, however, are still locked by level... for now.)

I or Andre will look into the xp/level problem you found.

The ratings still seem to be off. I'm listed as having 61 XP, and level 4 - while the manual says I should be level 5.

I'm not the only one, though - I just played MadMac321, and he appeared as level 9, though his experience (235) should place him at level 10.

Aha, I've found the problem. The specific symptoms are that anyone that should be level 3 and above are being reported as 1 level lower.

This will be fixed fairly soon -- it will require a quick server patch. I will make a post when it's done.

Don't worry, everyone's XP is perfectly intact. The only problem is that the server is calculating levels as 1 lower than they should be when it calculates the levels from XP when you log in.

Also, the "last game played" statistic as displayed on the Ratings page is wrong. Mine says Oct 21, but I played games later than that (two were interrupted by disconnections yesterday, but others were completed, and they appear on the details page)

The interrupted games will not show up on the ratings, but your last completed game should show up unless there was some other problem on the server. Looks like it's working now. You're showing 10/28 at the time of this posting.

Looks like there was still some other type of problem in the web page, and that is fixed now. Thank you, PhilD.

BTW -- the server patch that andre made a couple of days ago should have fixed the XP problem.

(We also made some changes that should help us better debug any further server errors/crashes.)
