Mod question

I have a question about modding is Weird worlds :
I found that one thing was really missing in weird worlds : all planets or event where totally disconnected one from the other. The fact that you had met someone somewhere wouldnt change what could hapend on an other planet (for example you kill a pirate somewhere, if you go the pirat planet, people don't like you).

Also you could not get any insight of what could lie in a planet far away. You could not script caracter which would have given you clues about that.

This would have been very interesting, as You often don't have time to visit the whole galaxy. So the strategy would be to try to have an idea of which planet would be the best to visit fisrt. If the charcaters could give some clues... That would give a much clever game.

So the question : is it possible to do something like that through scripting ?

An other question : do you have an idea, when we will be able to see a demo ?

Re: Mod question

You can make basic scripts with conditions and user-defined variables... It's not a full programming language type affair so there are certain limits to what you can do.

For example, it's possible to have an event (meeting someone) set a flag that another event checks as one of its conditions to determine what happens when you go to a location. But the scripting system doesn't have a way to look at the contents of a random planet.
