Here is the very early stage of the battle.

Lt. Col Hal Moore has just landed in LZ X-ray and his men are heading to the west side of the clearing.

By 12:00 h, enough units of BRAVO company 1/7 and ALPHA company 1/7, began to reconnoitre the ground towards the NW part of the Landing zone X-ray.

At this point, No one could imagine that few hundreds meters to the West was located the base of 3 PAVN battalions (acting in Ia Drang valley)...

Second Lt. Herrick's 2nd platoon/B co has advance very quicly and has been cut-off from his parent company (Bravo) and now is under attack from multiple directions.
At the same time, Alpha and Bravo company can't do anything to assist this "lost platoon"...
The situation will become very difficult in just a few moments...

Very, very nice. I told you, "great minds..." the team has been working on LZ XRay even while your group has.

This is very good work you are doing here Pyros. Your map and your development of the battle is certainly according to history. This should be a great scenario or campaign.
You've certainly put a lot of time into it. Well done.

Yes, you are correct. The teams we work with are the heartbeat of any creation.

I'm very much looking forward to playing this, Pyros. Your research and careful attention come shining through. I wish all of you the best with it.

The mantle I've worn for years in scenario design is falling on most able shoulders such as yours and others.

WB
